Different people have different tastes and body sensations when drinking Pu'er tea. Some teas give people a sense of mountain and wild charm. So where does the mountain and wild charm come from, and how is it reflected? Xigui is also a hot topic. Among the many tea mountains, how about Xigui tea? Does Pu'er tea have a high status? Today I will give you a simple answer to the two questions of mountain and wild charm and Xigui tea. The content of the article is for reference only:

How is the mountain and wild charm reflected?

Generally speaking, the ecological environment is relatively good. Ancient tree tea that has not been artificially fertilized or sprayed with pesticides usually has the charm of the mountains and wilds in it. For wild ancient tree tea, it is called game. Basically, they both have some similarities. From a sensory perspective, the flavor of mountains and wild areas has a fishy smell. For example, wild vegetables in the mountains have that fishy smell, but that fishy smell is not that of fish. For another example, when you go to a virgin forest, the smell you smell after entering is different from the smell of high ozone content in ordinary forests. It has the smell of humus soil, and the mountain and wild atmosphere has a little bit of that smell. The fishy smell we are talking about will be stronger in wild tea than in cultivated tea grown in primeval forests or in unattended places.

In terms of the color of dry tea, wild tea will be greener when it is new, which is dark green. The color difference between artificially cultivated tea (what we call wild tea) and normal tea is not particularly obvious. It is slightly darker and darker, but it is not particularly obvious. It does not feel white. Moreover, the buds of artificially cultivated wild spring tea are relatively small and thin, unlike tea in tea gardens, which have fat and white buds. There are very few wild tea buds, and some wild tea buds are basically invisible.

Generally speaking, this kind of wild tea or wild tea, because the colloid content in the tea leaves is relatively high, the tea soup will be thicker when you drink it, which is more smooth. Some of these wild teas or wild teas may taste a little lighter when you drink them, and the aftertaste is better.

Let me emphasize: we are referring to teas of the same kind and region.

What is the quality of Xigui tea?

Xigui tea is grown in Xigui Village, Bangdong Township, Lincang, adjacent to the Lancang River, at an altitude of about 800 meters. As for Xigui Tea, time is the best proof.

Xigui Tea should have become famous since 2006. When the pure ingredients of Xigui Tea came out in 2006, it was not called Xigui Tea, but Manglushan. After 2008, it was gradually named after Xigui Village, and it was called Xigui Tea. Xigui tea is now becoming more and more famous in the Pu'er tea industry, and its price is rising year by year. The quality of the real Xigui Ancient Tree Tea is very good, with full tea aroma, full tea flavor, quick sweetness, and strong rock sugar sweetness. It also has a very important feature. After being stored for three to five years, it will have a special aroma, which is the aroma of dried mushrooms from Yunnan.

For now, the price of Xigui tea is already very high. Taking 2018 as an example, the price of ancient tree tea was almost 5,800 yuan per kilogram. However, the amount of ancient tree tea is small, and the real Xigui ancient tree tea is very rare on the market. Of course, there are also many artificially grown terrace teas in Xigui Village in recent years, but there is a big gap between the quality of artificially grown terrace tea and the quality of ancient tree tea. This is similar to the situation in other producing areas.

One point should be emphasized: Xigui tea is a medium-leaf species and is a rattan type of tea. Nowadays, there are some Mengku large-leaf species, etc., which are sold as Xigui tea, so everyone must pay attention.

In the Lincang area, the status of Xigui Tea is second only to Iceland. As far as quality is concerned, I personally think that each has its own merits. I cannot say which tea is better or which is not. Of course, the price of Icelandic tea will be higher, but this does not mean that the quality of Xigui tea is so different.

There are many rumors in the market now that Lincang tea is not good for later transformation. Everyone has different opinions on this issue, so I won’t go into details. In the past, Xigui tea was not famous and was mixed with other teas. Now Pu'er tea is becoming more and more popular among people. As more and more people know Xigui tea, its quality is getting better and better, and its value will be recognized by more people.
