Black tea is considered to be mild. For people with weak stomachs, you can choose black tea, especially small-leaf black tea, which has a sweet and mellow taste and is non-irritating. If you choose large-leaf black tea, which has a strong tea flavor, you can add milk and brown sugar to the tea soup, which can warm the stomach and increase energy.

High-grade black tea has a high content of tea buds, with thin and tight strips (small-leaf varieties) or fat and firm (large-leaf varieties). The color is dark and shiny, with more golden hairs on the tea sticks. The aroma is sweet and rich, the taste is sweet and fresh, the soup is red, and there is a golden halo at the contact point between the bowl wall and the tea soup, commonly known as the "golden circle". Mid-grade tea contains less buds, has a slightly glossy black color, and slightly golden hairs; the aroma is slightly sweet, the taste is sweet and light, the soup is red and bright, and the gold ring is not yellow and bright. Low-grade tea has few buds, mainly mature and spread leaves, with loose and light strips, dark color, lack of luster, no gold, and bland taste.

How to brew black tea

Pour fresh cold water into the kettle and boil: because the water flowing out of the faucet is full of air, it can fully guide the aroma of black tea. However, overnight water, water that has been boiled twice or hot water in a thermos flask are not suitable for brewing black tea.

Pour in boiling water and warm the pot and cup in a gradual manner to avoid large changes in water temperature: the general shape of a teapot has a short, round body, allowing the tea leaves to fully stretch and dance during brewing.

Carefully consider the amount of tea leaves: to brew strong tea, use 1 teaspoon per person (about 2.5g of tea leaves). However, if you want to brew good black tea, it is recommended to brew 2 cups of black tea leaves (about 5g), which can better bring out the mellow original flavor of black tea and enjoy the pleasure of refilling the cup.

Pour boiling water into the pot to make tea: about 30 seconds after the water starts to boil, when the water splash forms a round shape the size of a one-yuan coin, it is best to brew black tea.

Wait patiently for the correct brewing time: Because rapid brewing cannot fully release the aroma of the tea, professional tea cans will professionally indicate the concentration of the tea, which is related to the brewing time of the tea. For example: the concentration is divided into levels 1-4, with 1 being the weakest and 4 being the strongest), and the brewing time is from 2 minutes to 3 and a half minutes, decreasing in sequence.

Pour the tea soup brewed in the pot into your favorite teacup: although teacups come in various shapes, generally speaking, they have a shallow bottom and a wide mouth, because this allows tea drinkers to fully enjoy the aroma of black tea and also appreciate its charming tea color.
