Nuowulao Village is located in the eastern half of Mengku. It is a high-altitude (about 1,800 meters) ancient village inhabited by the Lahu people. It has a primitive and pure ecology, with year-round clouds and mist, abundant water resources, sufficient sunshine, and fertile soil, providing unique natural conditions for the growth of tea trees.
There are about fifty or sixty acres of ancient tea gardens preserved in the village. The tea trees are generally more than 300 years old and are distributed in deep mountains and dense forests, far away from human habitation. These ancient tea trees have not been dwarfed, grown naturally, are strong and lush, and have not been over-exploited. Their output is rare but their quality is pure. They are precious and cost-effective resources among the five villages in Iceland. Platform tea (trees aged 20-40 years) adopts scientific dense planting and manual management, while inheriting the ecological wisdom of ancient tea gardens and taking into account the balance between yield and quality.
The 20-40-year-old platform tea trees have well-developed root systems, which penetrate deeply into the soil to absorb deep minerals and nutrients. Together with modern fertilizer control and pest management technologies, they reduce dependence on chemicals, which not only ensures eco-friendliness but also lays the foundation for the inner quality of tea. After decades of growth and accumulation, the tea soup is mellow and full, with outstanding sweetness, elegant and layered aroma. It has the heritage of ancient tree tea and the freshness of platform tea. It is suitable for daily drinking and has aging potential.
Compared with the scarcity and high price of ancient tree tea, Nuowu Terrace tea relies on scientific management to achieve stable output, more uniform quality, and affordable market prices. It not only meets the needs of public consumption, but also becomes a cost-effective choice in the Icelandic tea area with its unique local flavor.
Nuowulaozhai terrace tea cleverly integrates natural gifts and artificial management. With the nourishment of mountain clouds and the blessing of modern technology, it has become a bridge connecting traditional ecology and market demand with solid quality and affordable price.
