Pu'er tea requires a production process after picking fresh leaves from the tree. Different types of tea have different production processes. There are raw tea and cooked tea. The packaging materials and shapes are also slightly different. Let's take a look at the shapes of Pu'er tea and the differences in packaging. The content of this article focuses on sharing, for reference only:

Pu'er tea shape

At present, for the convenience of drinking, everyone has seen or bought small and exquisite tea products on the market, such as: dragon beads, a small round one; small cakes, most of which are about 8 grams; small golden tuos, ranging from 3-6 grams; tea bags, 2-4 grams, etc.; small green mandarins, one per bag; these teas are very convenient to carry and do not take up space. As long as you want to drink wherever you go, you can use a cup. Different tastes are available for everyone to choose, which is convenient and quick to brew and drink.

There are also conventional ones such as cake tea, brick tea, Tuocha, pumpkin, bamboo tube tea, loose tea, etc. Cake tea is generally 357g/cake, Tuocha is 100g/tuocha, 250g/tuocha, and brick tea is 250g-5 00g/brick. Of course, when different manufacturers produce different teas, they will also have tea cakes or brick tea weights of 360g, 400g, 1000g, etc. It is not surprising that everyone is used to these specifications.

Pu'er tea packaging

Pu'er tea packaging is generally made of tissue paper, which is used to pack tea tightly. Pu'er tea's outer packaging comes in various forms. Some loose teas use plastic food bags and cardboard boxes, and some high-end tea products also use modern packaging materials such as colored plastic packaging bags, colored cardboard boxes, plastic tea boxes, metal tea boxes, purple clay pots, bamboo boxes, wooden boxes, special arts and crafts cartons. In fact, packaging is firstly for aesthetics and secondly for class.

Pu’er tea packaging depends on the year

Pu'er tea has different years. Some new teas are made from the same year's Maocha and were produced that year, while some new teas are made from old materials and newly pressed. That is to say, for the tea produced in 2019, some materials were selected from 2007, 2012 or 18 years. This is called old materials and newly pressed, and they were only released in 2019. Some tea lovers may ask, the tea I bought was originally 12 years old, but the packaging is so new, was it suppressed only this year? In fact, there are several reasons:

The first type: As I said, the old materials are newly pressed, and the bulk materials have been stored for several years. They were only pressed and put on the market this year, so the packaging must be new.

The second type: the new packaging is not necessarily just pressed this year. Some tea cakes were put on the market the same year they were pressed. However, if they are well preserved, even if they were pressed 2-3 years ago and you buy them back now, they will still look new because the packaging tissue paper used by each manufacturer is different. Also, if it is an old material that is newly pressed, most manufacturers will also indicate how many years ago it was made, pressed this year, etc.
