When it comes to the "top tier" of Pu'er tea, forest-grown ancient tree tea is an unavoidable name.
It is not cultivated on terraces or fertilized with chemicals, but instead scattered deep within the pristine forests of Yunnan, coexisting for centuries with towering ancient trees, mosses, and lichens. The true essence of fine tea is determined from its very inception.
Taking a sip, the most immediate sensation is wildness—not a rough wildness, but a penetrating tension in the tea liquor that shoots straight through the back, inducing a slight sweat. Seasoned tea connoisseurs call it the "wild mountain aura.".
The aroma is also uniquely distinctive. No longer a singular floral or honeyed fragrance, but a complex blend of orchid notes, wild fruits, and mossy undertones, as if the entire forest had been captured within the cup.
The endurance is even more astonishing. Even after fifteen infusions, the flavor remains rich and full-bodied, with a tea soup as thick as rice broth, while the lingering sweetness gradually emerges from the depths of the throat, lasting long without fading.
Scarcity is its other name. In the primeval forest, it's common to spend hours trekking to find an ancient tree, with an annual yield of only a few dozen kilograms. Each cup consumed reduces the supply.
