The unique flavor of Dianhong tea is shaped by its variety, terroir, and craftsmanship.

Some say that Yunnan black tea, known as "Dianhong," is made from the large-leaf variety of Yunnan tea plants, using one bud with two or three leaves. (In 1940, Yunnan black tea was uniformly renamed "Dianhong," and this name has been used ever since.).

Soul Variety: Yunnan Big-Leaf Tea  This is the absolute core of Dian Hong's flavor profile. With a tea polyphenol content 30-50% higher than that of ordinary small and medium-leaf varieties, it establishes the taste foundation of Dian Hong—"rich, robust, fresh, and refreshing.".
