Green tea and aged tea are two entirely different concepts.
Raw Pu'er tea is a "compressed tea" made directly by steaming and pressing raw Pu'er sun-dried tea, with its aroma and flavor naturally developing through post-fermentation aging. Ripe Pu'er tea, also made from raw Pu'er sun-dried tea, undergoes artificial fermentation through water spraying and pile-fermentation, resulting in its matured taste.
By comparing the processing methods, internal substance transformation processes, tea properties, and final flavors of the two types of tea, it is evident that traditional raw Pu'er tea must undergo post-processing aging, whereas ripe Pu'er tea does not necessarily require this aging process.

Of course, as an organic material like tea, whether it's raw or ripe tea, as long as the storage conditions are in a well-ventilated, dry, clean, and odor-free environment, it can undergo aging and transformation.
According to the current national standard, Pu'er tea falls under the category of post-fermented compressed tea. The so-called "Pu'er" with aesthetic value in its fresh tea state, whether loose-leaf or compressed, is strictly speaking merely sun-dried green tea made from Pu'er tea raw materials, which still differs somewhat from the traditional concept of Pu'er tea.
